The December holiday season is one of my favorites. I get to spend more time with the people I care about while also enjoying the season’s many celebrations. In order to make the most of my Christmas break this year, I prepared in advance and made sure I had everything I would need.

The first thing I did was make a list of all the activities I wanted to partake in during the course of the Christmas season. The holiday season saw me decking the halls, making cookies, watching holiday films, and celebrating with friends and family. As the end-of-year holidays can be fairly stressful, I also made sure to schedule some time for myself to decompress and relax.

The time I got to spend with my loved ones was one of the best parts of the Christmas break for me. On Christmas Eve, the whole family got together to open presents and eat a special feast. Seeing everyone having a good time and making jokes with one another was a delight to behold. In addition to feasting and game-playing, we reminisced about former celebrations, which sparked many warm feelings.

During the Christmas season, I also found time to volunteer in my neighborhood. In order to aid people in need, I volunteered at a nearby soup kitchen. It was an eye-opening event that made me reflect on the reason for the season: sharing cheer and goodwill to others via acts of generosity.

In sum, I had a fantastic Christmas break this year. The holidays were a time for me to reconnect with family and friends, do volunteer work, and revel in the joys of the season. It was a moment of great happiness, and I am grateful beyond words to having lived through it.
