The History of Christianity in Africa

More than two thousand years of history make up the intriguing and intricate story of the spread of Christianity across Africa. Christianity’s influence on Africa’s social, political, and cultural landscapes may be traced back to the first Coptic Christians in Egypt and Ethiopia and forward to the colonial era expansion of European missionaries.
