1.8. Operational Definition of Terms

Denominational differences: Denominational differences refer to the variations in beliefs, doctrines, worship practices, organizational structures, and traditions that exist among different branches (or denominations) within a particular religion, especially within Christianity. For example, Catholicism, Protestantism, and Pentecostalism are all Christian denominations, each with distinct teachings and forms of worship.

Youth: Youth generally refers to the period in a person’s life between childhood and adulthood, often characterized by physical, emotional, and psychological development. The age range typically falls between 15 and 24 years, though this can vary depending on context. Youth is a crucial stage for identity formation, including religious and moral development.

People: People is a general term that refers to human beings collectively or individually. In the context of religion or sociology, it often denotes groups or communities who share common characteristics, such as culture, beliefs, or practices.

Christian: A Christian is a person who follows or adheres to Christianity, a monotheistic religion based on the life, teachings, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Christians believe that Jesus is the Son of God and the savior of humanity. The faith is practiced in various forms across different denominations such as Catholicism, Orthodoxy, and Protestantism.
