Project – EFFECT OF WORK LIFE BALANCE ON EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE (A STUDY OF SELECTED BANK IN LAGOS STATE).

ABSTRACT

The study examined the effect of work Life balance on employee performance. A study of selected banks in Lagos State. Four research objectives were used in the study, namely: to examine the effect of job stress on employee’s health; to evaluate the effect of role overload on employee job satisfaction; to evaluate the influence of long working hours on employee morale; and to evaluate the effect of work family conflict on Job commitment. Sampling frame consist of the regular staff of Zenith Bank Nigeria headquarters Lagos. Total enumeration method was used here to ensure that 80 members of staffs of the population are used as sample for the study. The method of data collection that was used by the researcher on this topic is the questionnaire. A descriptive research design was adopted for the study. The study  recommended that ZENITH Bank should share the best practices on employee work life balance with other commercial banks in the country which have been struggling with the same. The study concluded that long working hours does influence employee morale.
