Understanding the dynamics of this industry in the region is crucial for formulating strategies that can ensure its survival and success.

One of the key factors influencing the survival of hospitality establishments in Ilorin Emirate is the role of infrastructure. According to Idowu and Adebayo (2019), the development of infrastructure such as transportation networks, electricity, and water supply directly impacts the quality of services provided by hotels. The infrastructural deficit in Nigeria remains a major hurdle for hotels, and Ilorin is no exception. While the city is not as developed as Lagos or Abuja, its hospitality industry depends heavily on the availability of these basic amenities.
